This week I have been working on orders for my shop. Lots of custom orders which I am very thankful for since Jim is laid off for at least two more weeks. Makes my little shop seem very important to us during these times for sure! I have also been trying to heal my computer. It is old we purchased it in 2008, but right now I just can't fathom spending the money to replace it. So, I have been deleting and deleting and deleting. I have seperated all of my photos and got them ready for discs. Deleted all of my videos since they are housed on YouTube anyways. I will be ok as long as YouTube doesn't crash and lose all my vids.
If anyone has any tips for prolonging the life of my computer I would love to hear them. I have the max amount of RAM my computer will take which is only 2 GB, the hard drive is 160GB with 50GB left. I have no idea what is taking up the most of my hard drive. Because I don't think I have 110 GB of software on this thing. I also have very very little music on this computer. Probably not even 1GB. So, any advice would be wonderful!
Now, on to my desks! Well.. I am glad to say they are probably not nearly as bad as last week. Although they aren't clean by anymeans, they just look slightly well used :D haha!
This is a look at my main crafting desk! Most all of the magic happens right here!
And here is a little peek at my stamping desk.. This is where I film the majority of my videos as well as make cards and other things that require markers and inks :D
Thanks for stopping by for this weeks' Whats on your workdesk Wednesday! Make sure you pop on by Julia's Blog and leave her a comment! Also, it would be lovely if you joined us! Come on just show us a picture of your desk! It's easy!
I'm Linking up to Julia's Blog!

I wish I could offer some computer advice but I cannot :( I like how you say this is where the magic happens, lol waving hi from the chilly hills of North Carolina :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my blog yesterday ... it was a pleasure to have you visit! I'm afraid my desk wasn't tidy for all that long and, yes, it was a joy to find those papers ... some of my favourites to work with and just about the most sniffable papers ever! Love Debbie xXx
ReplyDeleteHave you done a disk clean up and a disk defrag? I do it everyday as it releases unnecessary harddrive space taken up and I think thats where your problem is. email me if you need more help, happy to be of service, if I cant help you I will ask my tech head hubby to tell me what you need
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this advice.. I will do a disk clean up and defrag tonight and see if that helps speed things along.I really don't want to do a whole system restore.. I will absolutely hate having to reinstall all of the software I have. It will truly be nooo fun at all.
DeleteI have extra hard drives which I add on when needed but even they sometimes scream that they are too full! So my poor laptop must be stuffed to the roof! Thanks for my snoop!! Love all the copics and crafty stuff...I need to tidy up! Have a great crafty week. Happy WOYWW!

aghhh!! such a long word code thingy!!!!
I need to get rid of word verification I think.. it drives me bananas too!!
DeleteMy advice is the same as above, def do clean up and defrag. Make sure any software you don't use at all is un-installed properly, also make sure your browser history is being deleted every time you come away, that can clog up and make things slow. Take care & enjoy this week's WOYWW, it's now Friday & I'm still snooping! Zo xx 60
